About me
I became an Ofsted registered childminder in 2009 after having my own children. Having my own children made me make the change from being a nanny. From the age of 11 I knew I wanted to work with children and started by volunteering at play schemes followed by lots of babysitting. From the age of 16 I was trusted to look after 5 boys, often being left in charge for the weekend. I gained my NNEB qualification and through my babysitting work was put in touch with my first nanny position. From then on have always found most of my work through recommendation. My experience is with children birth to teen.
My main priorities as a childminder are children's safety, well being and happiness. I enjoy watching their achievements and helping them progress. I get to know every child as an individual and plan activities around their interests and abilities, following the EYFS.
My family
I live with my husband, son and daughter.
Our house
We live in a peaceful area of Baildon, away from the main road, in close walking distance to the village centre and moor. We have a play room that houses most of the indoor toys and provides a nice light play area for children. There is an enclosed front garden and small back garden for children to play in. There is always plenty of parking out on the main road for dropping children off.
I own a 7 seater car.
